My Own Llama Fiber Yarn!

I got lucky today using the internet! Our bandwidth was good enough that not only could I load my blog interface I also got into my widgets and adjusted a few things on my sidebar! Pathetic to get so excited over things so many millions take for granted! *sigh!*
Anyways, I'm so pleased to be able to show you my finished naturally white Llama/wool blend yarn! It was the only major project I spun with the Lendrum. I figured if I spun something that would normally be a pleasure to spin, I couldn't blame the fiber on why I didn't like the wheel.

And who wouldn't enjoy spinning up this?? According to the paperwork it's about 70% Llama fiber from my own Llama and about 30% Merino top. About a pound in total. Of course it took longer than I expected to spin it and ply it because I've been so crazy-busy over the last 2 months! I also didn't chain ply it. It's a down-to-earth 3 singles 3-ply! OK, actually the last part bobbin got chain plied but the overwhelming majority is just a plain 3 strand ply.

2 skeins, 7.2 ounces 624 yds and 8.3 ounces 671 yds, which makes it borderline between Sport and DK weight - a very good weight to knit myself some nice winter socks! Maybe after I'm finished my son's work socks... more on that later!
