Merry Christmas To ME!
So let's talk about gifts to myself, OK? The first gift I gave myself was I sold the Lendrum! (insert crazed cheer!) The second gift I'd like to give myself would be to sell the Bea spinning wheel... that will likely take some time though... I still plan to purchase a replacement wheel but I am going to take my time on this one and maybe purchase with my heart instead of everyone else's opinion of what I'll love. I have my heart set on about 4 different models: the Schacht Matchless, Majacraft Rose, Majacraft Suzie and the Kromski Minstrel (no groans over that one, please! Remember, I had a similar Baynes and loved it!).
I found a used Suzie on Kijiji but no reply from the seller so maybe it's sold and they're just too lazy to delete the ad. I found a Rose on Ravelry, but same thing - no reply. I could also purchase a used Matchless from a seller in the USA but for the same price I could buy a new Kromski from a Canadian retailer with all the bobbins and extras I want.... decisions, decisions!! Arrrgghh!!! I'm taking my time this time!!

I fell in love with these babybottom soft batts from Natchwoolie! 8 ounces of Alpaca, Baby Camel & Tussah silk from her Sinfully Delicious batt series! I have wanted to buy something from her shop for a long time now and had the perfect opportunity when she had a pre-Christmas sale!
I can hardly wait to get into these batts... once I get a spinning wheel...

Last but not least, in the I-can't-believe-I-did-this department, I bought myself a LeClerc Nilus 2 four harness loom! This is the original sale photo, as I still haven't completed it's re-assembly. No apologies for that, I simply haven't had time to commit to it. However, I own it now and I can get familiar with it as I have time. I got it for an absolutely smokin' price and I knew I likely wouldn't come across a deal like that again any time soon! I have been thinking about getting a loom for some time now and the small ones start at over $300 and that's just a 24" weaving width. I realized that I wouldn't stick with a small one for long and with the 42" weaving width on this one I can weave as wide or as narrow as I'd like. Now all I have to do is watch my DVDs and learn how to use the silly thing!
So that's my Christmas ho ho ho! Hope you found some nice fibery treats under your tree this year too! Cheers!
