Fall Friday Freebies

Around here it's cooling off at nights so it's starting to feel like time to knit things to ward off the chill.



Lovely and feminine is the New Orleans Cardi by Caron Naturally. Although they selected a cotton blend I can certainly see it fitting the bill in a downy soft Merino or a slinky silk blend! The open lace is simply a dropped stitch pattern making it a quick knit too!



If you're looking for a little more coverage, how about this Lush Collar Cardi from Lion Brand? Knit in a chunky weight yarn it knits up plush and fast! I'd say it's a prime candidate for handspun! All that stockingette would be the perfect showcase for a slubby or multi-tonal yarn!



This Farmington Jacket from Caron Naturally is a more challenging knit but it's so worth it though when you look at the beautiful lace detailing on the cuffs and hem and the textured cable yoke! It has a graceful profile and a picot edge around the neckline. Everything about it says "I can't believe this pattern is free!" Wow!
