PhatFiber Sampler Box July Art Nouveau
Honestly I can't seem to keep up with my photo file! As usual, I'm badly behind but here is the July PhatFiber Sampler Box Art Nouveau!
First stop is always the mini-deck of business cards! Mine is 4th from the bottom and it doesn't look too shabby next to the commercially printed ones. Top right is a handmade acrylic button with silver glitter and swirl peacock feather plumes in it from Spinatude! Absolutely gorgeous! Although I am asking myself what, besides decorate, can I do with one button... something will inspire me, I suppose!
Something I need to keep in mind is that many of these cards include a discount code with a deadline - worth trying!

The fiber samples were really really nice! Although there was no spectacular packaging all but one was a generous size! These contributors really want you to play with their fiber!
Top left is a delicious mauve/fuschia art batt from Desired Haven Farm that made me want to rush over and buy one - or two - or.... Beneath it is a tri-color sample of Alpaca and wool from Dawning Dreams that is baby soft. Top right is a BFL sample from Boho Knitter Chic in a colorway I just love - dark blue, rust and cream! Mmmm! Top right with the hot pink tag is a cloud soft sample of 100% Alpaca fiber from ComfedOutKaiser. The sample is lovely but for her sake, I hope next box she does a little more for her tagging, just saying... in this situation, presentation is everything!

The yarn samples were much more colorful than the fiber, this box! In particular I liked Colorbug's Klimt, far right top. It was a rainbow bright alternating with very dark navy. Effective for really making those bright colors pop! The huge sample card of yarns at the bottom left is from Light Brown Hare. Wow! What a huge contribution! 8 sampler skeins and the yarns are SO wonderful! If it had been my only yarn sample I would have felt like I got a lot! I hope it really drives traffic to her store!
It should be no surprise that the white Alpaca sample from ComfedOutKaiser made it into my Box Favorites! My other two fiber faves were, (top) A gorgeous dark shades batt of Merino, BFL, Jacob, Alpaca, silk & Angelina from Lampyridae (could I go through a pound of that! LOL!) and (bottom) a more natural color blend of 100% superwash Merino from Bookwyrm42 - SO soft!
My yarn favorites were a marvelous purple sample of recycled purple 100% cashmere from Phoenix Yarn (finer than I like to knit with but hey, it's 100% cashmere! Yowza!) and a wonderful light green skein of 100% BFL from Handsome Fibers that you just have to handle to fall in love with!

I hope this encourages you to consider buying a box next month when they come on sale! But be advised - they sell out very quickly - like within hours of going on sale, so if you want one, don't daudle! Cheers all!
