Hot, you say?
Today was a breathtaking +32 Celsius, we were one of the hotter areas! Since our previous daytime highs have only been in the high teens/low 20's this was quite a wallop! Yesterday I played hookie from everything and worked in the yard, pruning back the encroaching wild brush, cleaning up and getting some bedding plants in the ground. It got to be about +22 C. I was too pooped out by the end of the day to do any blogging but I did get some pictures ready so at least I accomplished something! Hopefully I'll be showing them to you soon!
Today I was outside again all morning and it was cool and refreshing (yes, business is pretty much at a standstill ;o[ ) but for the afternoon I had to go with DH to the city to pick up the car and do some shopping. Not exactly an ideal day for that! I was melting by coffee time and sweating gallons! Although I did manage to get all my running around done it was torture going from frigid air conditioned stores back out into the "real" world! It was as though the cold air inside made the heat even worse! Needless to say I was way too sticky to spin, knit or do pretty much anything fiber related! I'm sure you folks from waaay south (like Texas) are used to this type of heat and humidity - or even higher - but for a poor stubble jumper like me who's more used to the dry cold, today was a bit much!
