Aran Sweater Finished!

My sister sent me this photo as she neared the neck for a bit of finishing advice. Believe me, she didn't need much! I'm SO delighted to see how she took my humble start and ran with it! What really blows me away is that the sweater is entirely seed stitch between the cables. In all my knitting history I've never knit a sweater, especially one this size, that was all texture with no stockingette! Never! And she did it with her first one! I bow to her superior determination! (big time!)

I did, of course, chide her for sending me "finished" photos before she had washed and blocked the sweater which is why it looks so lumpy! But I couldn't blame her contagious excitement because, really, an entirely textured and cabled seamless yoke sweater knit in the round is so totally NOT a beginner sweater! Well done kiddo! (wonder what she'll tackle next? LOL!!)

Bravo littlest Sis! You both obviously got the knitting genes. I am sure hubby will be happy to finally have his sweater even if it is now too warm to wear it. I also look forward to seeing the next project she tackles!

I have no words to describe how amazing that sweater is. Kuddos to your sister. You are a very talented family. I'm envious.
