Pretty In Pink

Doesn't a bundle of pink fiber like this just make you want to sink your hand in it up to the wrist? Trust me, it's every bit as nice in person as it is in the photo - actually not quite as dark a shade of pink, but still a delicious blend of shades of pink! Another lot of fiber from Dyeing for Color and, as it turned out, a substitution for something she was out of. Generally I'm not a pink-o-holic but when she offered it I thought, oh what the heck! The fiber photo is from her shop and it's SO much nicer in hand! It was one of the first bundles I spun up from the box. Honestly, I don't know how she does it but the fiber in the braid is fluffy and plump, not compressed and I could spin quite happily from it. (Sorry, I guess eventually you'll get tired of me raving about how spinnable her fiber is without pre-drafting but it's such a pleasant change from 100% of the previous braids I've purchased in the past!)
It's a blend of 80% superwash wool and 20% Bamboo so it has shiny satiny bits all over and since there's no angelina or firestar in it  it is soft right through! It was a total pleasure to spin! I ended up with 280 yds of 2-ply from 4ounces of fiber so it's almost a sport weight. Hopefully I'll have time (probably during the Postal strike *grrr!*) to get it listed in my Etsy Shop along with a bunch of other skeins....
