More Friday Freebie Crocheted Afghans

There's just nothing like a colorful crocheted afghan! I often think that the thick sturdy fabric is better than most knit afghans just from the extra bulk because crochet uses more yarn than the same size knit fabric. This is the Country Tweed Afghan from Caron Naturally. I love how the stitch alternates the colors, even though I'm not overly fond of the colors they chose. But I must say that what really "saves" the color palette it that the blue is NOT an avocado green (anyone over 30 should get my drift on that observation! LOL!).

I just love this Perdido Baby Blanket, also from Caron Naturally! I love that they chose something other than blue and pink and that the base color is ecru not "white" which just totally shows ALL the dirt from small hands! I'm pretty sure it's also crochet in a cotton blend rather than wool so it's easy care and great for year-round use! Sure to become "blankie" in the heart of a special little someone!
