Updates On This and That

The only thing I don't like about blogging is spam. It's always the first thing I have to do when I open my blogging interface - go to the Comments and delete all the flagged and inactive ones. So much trashy garbage from sad people who have nothing better to do with their lives! After a while it gets to be rather annoying but I guess it's just a fact of life on the internet. *sigh!*
On a brighter note, I have some photos from my sister who is making amazing progress on the UFO sweater I started for her hubby!

Not too shabby for a beginner! I did happen to mention (ahem) that where I left off and she took over is visible (she had to go a full needle size up to match my much looser gauge!) but she said it didn't matter to her since it's her first sweater AND she wasn't about to attempt ripping out an inch of textured pattern knitting because she was sure the muddled (and possibly dropped) stitches would look even worse. The cables are as they should be, it's mostly just the seed stitch with the hiccup and heck, if she's happy I'm not going to give her a hard time about it, that's for sure! All I know is MY first sweater sure wasn't this ambitious or look this good! LOL!

She's well into the first sleeve now - this is just the cuff photo from last week - and since I haven't had any more "Help!" emails from her I think it's safe to assume she's into fairly smooth sailing. Kudos! I can hardly wait for the photos of when you get the whole lot on one circ for the yoke!

The enameled candy charms for my March PhatFiber stitch markers finally showed up so I was able to get them made up and posted in my Etsy Shop in time for the March box drop on the 20th. The peppermint one is a bit clunky for my taste but it's part of the set and I guess that's just the way it goes! These ones are peppermint candies and cinnamon red hots. Admittedly not my all time favorite theme but with April coming up - Butterflies and Flutterby's - I'm already in high gear making stitch markers for that! Yay! I can hardly wait to show them off in a couple weeks!
And as for MY knitting? My Woodland Cowl is nearly finished. Yup! Well past the 1 week I thought it would take but m'eh! It's been a very pleasant knit and hopefully I'll be able to wash and block it this weekend *jinx!* Photos will be posted when it's presentable! Cheers all!

That is very impressive work your sister has done. I have a sweater that I started languishing in the cupboard. Maybe I should get it out to work on.
Those stitch markers are cute, but they seem Christmassy to me. If I were organized, I would get some for gifts for this year. But, being more of a procrastinator, I look forward to seeing your April ones.

What a nice looking sweater. I have been meaning to start the Flying Dales or Rhinebeck cardigan and have my Hubbert Farms yarn ready. I wish one of my sisters would get it started for me!
