Project From My Handspun
Since my sister won the beginner book of knitting cables she decided to branch out into new knitting skill territory. I suggested she tackle a modest sized project. She decided to start a small blankie to practice a simple narrow cable. I have to say it pleased
me she was using some of my handspun that I also dyed myself. I like how
the blue is sort of random in the red, and I have to compliment her on how well it turned out for a first stab at cables! (And my handspun knit up as nice as "real" yarn! LOL!!) As things progressed she found it's biggest fan was the family cat. When she sent me pics of it, I commented to her it looked awfully big for just a cat blankie.... until she sent me a photo of the cat actually sleeping on it.... and I apologize for her photos, they are a bit on the dark side!
