Purple Bits And Pieces

Occasionally oddments find their way into my fiber stash. There are actually two different colorways here from two completely different sellers. I was amazed at how similar the fiber content and shades were so I decided to combine them, in the interest of ending up with more than a hundred yards of yarn! I also challenged myself to spin thicker singles than my "comfort zone" because this would only be a 2-ply.
I always love spinning from pencil roving. for some strange reason it doesn't seem to matter how much of it there is, it always seems to go faster than regular top even if, in reality, it doesn't! LOL!
I'm very pleased with the finished yarn! It came out a lovely multi-tonal heather. Wool, silk, mohair, tencel and angelina, 4.2 ounces (approx 120 gms) and just over 200 yds of 2-ply - technically Aran weight but so mooshy soft and fluffy it would certainly knit at a finer gauge! As with so many other yarns I enjoyed spinning, it went into my Etsy Shop .
