It Became Gothic Bling

Of course I couldn't resist the lure of this batt from the PhatFiber Gift Exchange for long. Such a bundle of eye candy! So completely out of sync with what I usually spin I was captivated and intrigued. In some ways it was like learning to spin again. I eventually realized it's a bit like tobogganing - you just grab on and get going - what happens happens!
Since it's such a small amount of fiber, compared to my usual half pounds and pounds of fiber, I figured it would be best to make a 2-ply. Only TWO plies... oh how I struggled not to spin it too thin! In the end I made about 155 yds of 2-ply weighing about 3 ounces. I call it Gothic Bling, a zillion jewel tones against black! Wool, silk, bamboo and angelina - very soft, twinkly and one-of-a-kind!

Wow! What a transformation! From something so abstract into something so cohesive. You didn't mention what your vision was for the finished yarn.
