Fibery Christmas Gifts

As usual, I bought my own gifts. I must say though that I didn't rush out and buy them all at once!

Most of this is superwash BFL from  the DyePot . They had a huge 25% off sale - even their Clearance items - so I didn't feel too badly about indulging a little. I bought three 4 ounce balls of 60% BFL 40% silk but somehow only managed to get one of them in the photo (bottom right, blue & green with pink tags). This bunch will keep me going for quite a while!
Another of my little hobbies is being on a number of Yahoo groups where I purchased these from someone's de-stashing:

These are both made by Woodshaper in Mt Albert Ontario. One is wild Cherry & Black Walnut, the other is Churly Burbinga both with Maple shafts. In addition to being artistic in appearance they also spin like cream! They were made by Tom Forrester (thanks for the link Shannon!)

From the same Yahoo group I also bought this luscious bundle of yarny goodness which includes Fiddlesticks Country Silk blends. The colors are radiant and rich! All the solid color skeins are Malabrigo superwash merino sock and that one precious turquoise and purple skein in the bottom right is Handmaiden Marrakesh 70% silk 30% Baby Camel dyed by Fleece Artist and it's the softest slinkiest skein out of the bunch - even softer than 100% Alpaca! All bought for at least 50% off retail!
So this is the "Spoil Me" fiber and yarn, putting the "haul" in the Holiday! Cheers all!

Ahh yes those look like Tom Forrester spindles! VERY well known in these parts! I live very close to mount Albert and Gemini Fibres carries those spindles for Tom locally. Here is some info if you are interested, his designs are quite coveted for the incredible quality! http://wwwgeminifibrescom/product/spinning/spindle/aboutForrester.htm

    What great deals...especially the yarn!
I saw some of that silk/camel Fleece Artist yarn at my LYS and it is $42. I hope to go back to buy it as it is sooo beautiful!

Sounds like your LYS is very reasonable - the retail tag on my skein says $49.00! I wouldn't put off that purchase too long...
