How I Spent My Weekend...
My weekend started a little earlier than I expected when DD#2 smashed her ankle in a snowmobiling accident and I spent Friday night driving from our local hospital to the main hospital in Regina where she spent the weekend for reconstructive surgery. That's why there were no Friday Freebies last week (sorry!) although I must say I'd have preferred being home doing that! It never fails... just when you think things are going well....
Anyways, here's a more pleasant fiber-related quickie! A little while ago I bought a mixed lot of jewelry findings on eBay (of course) and found a little bag of gold hoops with connector loops. I think they are usually used for bracelet or necklace closures or maybe for earrings but I thought... hmmm.... sock or lace needle size! A quick paw through my bead stash came up with some nice sparklies and voila!

So sorry to hear about your daughter's ankle. I hope she will be able to walk normally again.
