Finally! Something Finished!

Not exactly instant gratification but I finished the is-it-really-Wool-in-the-Woods-Cherub-yarn? cowl. Overall I was very happy with the way the colors matched up. There was no huge pools of color but at least some colors overlapped for a couple of rows and it gave the lace stitches a chance to be visible. I didn't get too carried away blocking this thing either. I knew it was going to be a "generous" fit after the first few rounds which is fine. I already have several cowls that are neck sleeves. This is one I can give a half twist under my chin and have a nice flat bit of knitting at the top of my chest where I always seem to be cold. The tight twist in the yarn means it has held it's texture quite well which means a little extra warmth. It also indicated to me that it's regular Merino wool, not superwash so maybe this IS the real Cherub yarn. But all that name nonsense aside it's been great yarn to work with and I'm happy with how it turned out. It's a lovely color combo and I know I'll use it. Yay! Cheers all!

I followed a link from the Ravelry Canadian knitters group to your blog. I like the cowl you just finished and the monkey hat is really cute.

Hi, I found you through ravelry and would like to say that I really like your cowl, it doesn't appear to be a heavy weight yarn and would be nice and cozy for the winter months. Nothing better than wool to keep you warm and cozy.
