Busy Weekend!

Slowly but surely I am ticking off items on my "To Do" List. Not nearly as many as I'd like, but every item ticked is one less, right? This weekend I finished quite a few of the new spindles I had in progress. That was a GOOD feeling! Then was the job of taking decent photos, which, surprisingly, I am getting better at. At least now they're not so underexposed. The detail isn't quite as good as I'd like but they're passable. Finally, near midnight I finished posting them to my Etsy Shop . It's one of those jobs that, once I get going on it I prefer not to be interrupted. I have about a half dozen more to make but I'm (still) waiting for the drill bits to come from the UK. So here's a peek:

These are all stone, top whorl, most with lacquered wood shafts.

These are also stone, bottom whorl, with a smaller whorl and shaft - nice for lace weight or take-along spindling!

Last but certainly not least, I finished up the spindles that are being sent off to PhatFiber for the samples box. These have Abalone chip acrylic whorls and short 7" shafts of very sturdy and smooth) Bamboo. They are sturdy little tikes - just great for beginning spindlers!  I made 30 of them and it really didn't take that long - one of those repetitive job things. I'm hoping to get them mailed off soon but the postal trucks weren't running today in the whole province - nothing going in or out because of the icy roads from the huge storm! Maybe the roads will be better tomorrow... crossing my fingers they wont be worse! Cheers all!
