Twist & Knit

To be perfectly honest, I don't remember how I ended up clicking a link to Miriam Felton's blog . What I do remember is how much I loved her beautiful patterns and that's why I purchased her self-published book. From the back cover, I quote, " Every knitter knows the frustration of running out of yarn. This nagging fear is compounded when the yarn is one-of-a-kind or hand-dyed and simply heartbreaking when you've spent hours spinning the yarn yourself. This book offers patterns specifically designed to get the most out of your unique yarn so that you can knit until you run out." The handspinner's dream book!
I should mention that some of her patterns are available individually but there were enough of them I liked that I felt it more than justified the $20 to get the book. It has also been my delight to find that the 1st edition, which I own, is now sold out and a second printing is in the works. Why did this delight me? Because the success of this book should mean further designs by Miriam and maybe even a second volume! Maybe by the time it comes out I will have actually cast on and completed my stand-out favorite from the collection, the Dropleaf Wrap, which I am hopelessly in love with! Cheers all!
