Not Much To Show For The Week
Aside from knitting socks I feel as though I haven't been getting that much accomplished. I've seen some really lovely things on other blogs, coming off of more leisurely needles than mine! *sigh* As much as I enjoy a long weekend, a short work week means I end up playing catch up with my jobs, trying to squeeze things in where there isn't much room to begin with!
On
the one hand I'm extremely grateful to have the work to do, but it's
all the residual work that spins off it - like bookkeeping - that
dampens things. And then there's groceries, homework, laundry and on and
on and on..... if only there were 2 of me!
I can't help but think that with about 4 days all to myself I could really clean up a chunk of those never-going-away-until-you-do-them jobs so I can settle down to some really enjoyable creative jobs like getting some stuff finished for my Etsy Shop! I'm really starting to get into making things like spindles and I have about 40 in various stages of completion - yes, really - but I'm waiting for a drill bit to come in the mail before I can finish them. I am finding it takes twice as long to photograph everything as it takes to make them (annoying!) but I can't deny the satisfaction of seeing the finished items. I like making beautiful things - I sure hope people will like buying them! LOL!! So here's a peek at things I've been working on; mother of pearl shawl pins, stone spindles and a few charms...
