A Very Nice Surprise!

As you may have guessed by now, our life really revolves around the mail! In many ways it is our primary link to the larger world. Well, that and the internet! I enjoy reading blogs from other fiber fanatics which is often how I get to know other people who share my passion for spinning and knitting. Recently, Val from Wooly Wool of the West , one of the bloggers I read, purchased 3 Cashmere goats, kids really, and she had a contest to see if anyone could make the connection between the names they were given. It was quite fun actually. The correct answers got put into a draw for a cool prize. Well I guess she was in a generous mood because she ended up giving away 2 runner-up prizes as well and I was one of the lucky recipients! Yay! THANK-YOU Val!

I got one of her blank note cards with a photo of one of the Cashmere kids, a sachet of delicious organic tea (yum!) and a back issue of Piecework, which I enjoyed reading while I sipped! What a sweet prize!
If you noticed, in the photo, are stacks of business cards for my Etsy Shop. I'm gearing up to put samples into the Phat Fiber box in October. I'm hoping to generate some interest, with Christmas shoppers in mind, so that means I'm trying to make some time to make some new stuff to put into the shop. I really need to clone myself - really - shadow clone jutsu or something! I think it's the only way I'm going to get everything done in this lifetime! I'd like to get the rest of that fiber I was working on blended and carded and listed, get the jewelry finished that I started, and listed too. In addition to all that I've been making some spindles that I'm going to post in the shop. While it's been a lot of work (and more yet to do) it's also been a bit of fun. Sometimes a new creative adventure is a tonic for me, even if it just "looks" like more work! I must be very strange... hahahaha! I figure I have about a month to get it all in there for my best shot at selling anything, so guess that means I should sign off and get working on one of those work socks. Gotta' keep everyone happy..... Cheers all!

HI Gloria..I was wondering if you could email me the name of the seller that you purchased the garbage bits of Shetland from? I had a bad experience a few years ago (bought online but not from ebay) from an Ontario shetland breeder as well. Thanks...Jody
