Well I Finally Did It
Yup, that's what I did alright! I joined Ravelry. I hear the faint rumble of a collective cheer as you all say, "It's about time!" but before you get all worked up let me caution you I haven't had much time to spend there yet - and I can see from the sheer volume of stuff, one could spend a GREAT deal of time there! LOL!!
Let me just say that I'm not sorry I waited so long to sign up for an account. I didn't have to wait months to get my sign up link, only minutes, in fact. Also, the site is well populated and much improved (I hear) over the original launch. I can certainly see why everyone raves about it! In fact there is SO much to look at it's almost overwhelming! I could spend all day just browsing patterns and never even get to looking at yarns! I have, however, made one commitment, and that is to catalog all my UFO's and post them there. Posting my yarn stash is a proposition in (almost) infinity and I absolutely don't have the time for that! LOL!! Right now I have a profile and an empty "Friends" page I'm hoping you'll find your way on to (please?). After that, it will be baby steps to add things as it will be on my To Do list after "Blogging". Hopefully after about 6 months it will look more like regular Member's pages!
My user name is GloriaPatre, just like my Etsy Shop - I figured it made more sense to keep things the same - that, and Lazy Knitter was already taken since Johnny-come-lately's don't get first pick - so please look me up and add me to your Friend list so I don't feel like such an outsider!
