Light and Lovely Friday Freebie

I have seen this shawl a few times online and admired it immensely... considering what happened to "my" shawl recently, I am seriously considering casting this one on soon! I was SO excited when I found out it's a free pattern!

It is called Annis Shawl and I was head over heels with delight to find out it's from Knitty - one of my absolute favorite places for "cut above" knit projects. It is shaped with short rows and trimmed with the most beautifully shaped lace! What an awesome opportunity to use that ultra-special skein you've been hoarding - something decadent, like silk, something buttery soft, maybe even handspun... mmmmm!
Since the main semi-circular body is knit in stockingette you could use something multi-colored and then knit the lace edge with a complimentary color. It's just SO feminine! It's petite enough to keep just the essentials warm without being bulky. It's the type of pattern you keep in your pattern stash for that special-something knit! Cheers all!
