What To Do On A Rainy Saturday...

Well the rain shows no signs of letting up (3 more inches this weekend and still falling! ugh!) and it puts me in such a funky mood. I couldn't motivate myself to do some "real" work on the computer or anything vaguely resembling it... after a little aimless rooting around in my office I came across several boxes of beads and findings etc I had purchased earlier this year with the intention of making some new stuff for my Etsy Shop . It turned into a pleasant day of creative color therapy as I twiddled and tweaked bead combinations and such. When I was done I had all this to show for my "non-work" day...

A bunch of kilt-style beaded shawl pins

Some Goldstone, Abalone shell and Tigereye shawl pins

Some Llama, sheep and (not shown) rabbit cord necklaces

And some carved cinnabar bead hatpin-style shawl pins. I actually felt a bit tired after all that - imagine! Hahaha!
It took me almost all Sunday afternoon to scan & photo them and get them posted to my Etsy Shop . That's not to say I expect to sell them all overnight or anything but I think it's a good thing to have lots of stuff in the shop. I think it adds to the excitement of shopping to have lots of items to look over, even if you only buy 1 thing or even just mark it as a favorite. Part of the appeal of online shopping is browsing through the abundance. It's all about having a broad selection to choose from and finding something you like, even if it wasn't what you were looking for.... at least that's my shopkeeping philosophy and it's stood me in good stead for a long time so I'm sticking to it! (Don't be shy about going over and having a peek - what could happen?) Cheers!
