Rain , Rain Go Away....

It's raining here - again. That makes a grand total of ONE day of sunshine in the last 2 weeks. My llama needs shearing and the entire farm is oozing in mud not to mention his fleece is darn good and wet - not ideal for clipping. It also means no fleece washing or dyeing as I need the great outdoors as a solar dryer for that. I am thinking if this keeps up we'll be more worried about building an ark than farming... well, maybe there's always growing rice to consider... but I suspect you need more than 2 guaranteed frost-free months for that. Hrumph! Hubby also refuses to consider getting ducks or geese again....
So now that I'm pouting about forces well beyond my control I am thinking nothing could lift my mood than good old Canada Post comes to the rescue with a parcel of books from Interweave (yes, today I absolutely need more books!).

YES! The DVD on the top is The Gentle Art of Plying with Judith MacKenzie. It was a pretty safe bet I'd be buying that! LOL!!  And just in the nick of time when I need something calming and enjoyable! An expanded and updated copy of The Knitter's Companion, a book on painting skin tones and The Interweave Compendium of Finishing Techniques. I think I should have been paying closer attention when I ordered that last title. It never occurred to me it wasn't ALL knitting. D'uh! Nevertheless I think I'll still use it. It covers so many different types of needlecrafts as well as weaving finishes I'll probably read it just for information's sake.
Who'd have thought a lifeboat can come disguised as a cardboard box? LOL!! Cheers all! Keep dry!
