I will make the draw next Wednesday. Good luck to everyone! This week's Friday Freebie is a bit of a change from the ordinary parade of sweaters and wraps. It's a really beautiful Lacy Baby Throw from Lion Brand. In addition to the visual feast, it's lovely texture will delight any baby's curious little hands!
I know I don't post much for babies - it's certainly not that I don't like them (I've had a few myself) - I think it's that I just don't knit baby things anymore... maybe I will when there's one around to knit for....

I have to laugh that you won't be taking up weaving. I said the same thing for years, than I found a little (20"width) table loom at a yarn "garage" sale and I was sold. I like weaving with my handspun more than knitting with it, and have totally spoiled all my family with woven scarves. Which is good I suppose, since I'd been forbidden to knit or crochet them anymore. They just never learn. I'll only worry when I tat a scarf. Then I'll go into fiber rehab.

Good morning....Yes it is a beautiful morning...The sun is still shining (before a storm comes today) and I had a wonderful evening last night doing a spinning demo in Jonesboro , part of a storytelling evening ... I told the story of the 3 spinning sisters... along with showing all the necessary motions ... Did a little knitting while on stage ..finished up a 2-color scarf knitted in a modular motive all based on triangles....sounds confusing right...It was to me too.
This is a very nice blog...some day I might even do one...Just don't have the time right now...Too busy with knitting, spinning, weaving, quilting, learning the dulcimer, gardening and so many other little things that I never did while I was working...Taa Daa, have a great day...Rudi in cloudy Elizabethton Tenn.

Congratulations on your 500th post. Your blog is very interesting and one I will now visit often.
BTW, I like making baby things because they are small. I'm all for instant gratification.

I had to laugh at Betty's post as well-my friend Claudette and I were at a wool day at a local farmer's market over the winter, admiring some woven shawls. She said we weren't getting into weaving because we had too many hobbies. A few weeks later she calls me very excitedly to tell me about the LeClerc floor loom that someone on freecycle gave her! I asked her-"weren't you the one saying we weren't going to weave, hehehe?" So never say never! it's addicting!
Cheers,
Terry

Thanks for the opportunity t win the lovely prizes. I agree with you on the weaving. I do not have the time or the room. My husband would just have a cow, or should I say sheep? Looking forward to following you more closely to see if you might cave and get a sheep or two.

I have been looking for just the right baby pattern thanks. I don't knit for babies much anymore but a dear friend of mine is having her first granddaughter in July!! She is also trying to learn to knit from ole left-handed me. The book would be a great help to her. Thanks Andrea in TN
