Two New Stitch Pictures Finished

DD #2 has been stitching away, this time with embroidery floss. She
has finished a pair of flower stitcheries on a damask-type fabric. I
think they are absolutely lovely! The Lily of The Valley is her birth
month flower and the Carnation is her favorite flower. I was lucky
enough to find these 2 kits on eBay.ca. They are 5x7" and part of a
set of 12, one for each month of the year. The seller only had these
two - and what are the odds the two she had would be her favorite
flowers? Funny!
Now that these are complete she has decided she prefers crewel
embroidery with wool to working with floss... I suspect it's because
floss is so slow to fill in the picture. Good thing I didn't let her
start with counted cross stitch! Now that's s-l-o-w! However, I
suspect she will find her next selection will not be completed so
fast - she has gotten ambitious and selected a 14 x 14" floral
wreath! I hope she doesn't get tired of it before it's finished - I
hate finishing other people's projects.... Cheers!

How nice that you have someone to share and teach your passion to. Her work is lovely. Glad she is not intimidated with larger projects.

Beautiful! I used to spend a lot of time doing needlework. Now all my creativity is in baking! Tell DD2 that my DS2 liked them a lot!
