Knit Forever Sweater Update

As promised, this is the periodic update on my Knit Forever Sweater.
I have completed the first sleeve to the underarm (this will be an
Elizabeth Zimmerman-style yoke sweater) and have the 2nd sleeve well
under way.

As you can see, there is a "bit" of a color shift in the grey -
conveniently at the cuff *sigh*, isn't there always something?? When
they said the course of true love never ran smoothly they weren't
kidding! I'm just very glad it didn't end up at the top of the first
sleeve because I want to make a transitional pattern into white on
the yoke and it wouldn't be much of a contrast with that pale yarn!
I'm just going to leave it and keep on knitting. I've been feeling
rather inspired by embroidered accents lately so I may find a way to
turn this into a design element. I think that's the reason I SO love
yoke sweaters - once you've got the sleeves and the body onto the
same circular needle you can really let those creative ideas flow!
I'm a long ways from being done but the slow pace gives me lots of
time to think about what I'm going to do once I get to the yoke. I've
changed my mind a few times already so I guess I'll just have to wait
and see how I'm feeling by the time I get there - maybe a little
tired of tiny needles?? LOL!! For now all I can say is I'm still
ridiculously pleased with this batch of my handspun and I'm (still)
loving knitting with it! Cheers!
