Kudos to My Sister on Her First Project

Blogging tends to be rather narcissistic - an all-about-me sort of forum, really,(though I have had some rather interesting exchanges with commenters from time to time!) But today I thought I would make a small departure to congratulate my younger sister (yes, the one who sent me the fiber & hand cards) on the completion of her first ever knitting project. She completed a garter stitch afghan in about a month (!!!) using some mill ends she fell in love with when she was out shopping one day. It's absolutely gorgeous - and it's HUGE! An ambitious "first" project in the extreme (can't imagine who she's related to!) and I just wanted to brag a little bit about how proud of her I am! It's knit (I'm fairly certain) in synthetics but the blends are rich purples and some of the yarn is a light boucle so the texture is inviting, to say the least, and it's very very soft. Well done sis! Kudos!! I can hardly wait to see what you cast on next... maybe some potholders you'd like to felt?? LOL!!
