More Skeins Off the Wheel!

I'm still spending "Me" time each night at the wheel and my current plying session is now officially finished!

The first skein is the remains of the South African top singles. It's SO soft! I chain plied it (3 ply) and came up with 118 yds! Much more than I expected! It's also fairly fine, about a Sport weight. I had origianally planned not to ply it until I had something to ply it with, not being fond of really small skeins, however, I am even less fond of partly full bobbins that can't be used so utility won out over creativity! LOL! I'll probably use it to fairisle something.... did I mention how sooooft it is?
The Emerald/Teal is about 8 ounces, 360 yds and a light worsted weight, also chain plied (3 ply) and it's super wash.
The Chocolate Brown super wash is about 8 ounces too, 363 yds, also chain plied (3 ply) and a heavy worsted weight. These will go into my stash for now as I don't have any immediate projects slated for them. It was actually kind of exciting to have both 8 ounce lots come out at the same yardage, meaning I managed to stay fairly consistent from one lot to the next! (Cheers wildly!) I should be able to use them together in a project.... now if I can just pull off the same trick with the Sapphire that I'm spinning right now! Ha! For some reason I thought there was about the same amount of the Sapphire but I've stuffed 3 bobbins already and there's no end in sight! Hmmm.... apparently my eyes deceived me! At 4 ounces per bobbin I'm up to 3/4 of a pound already.... obviously there's more than a pound to work my way through! Not a problem though, I really like this color, a real jewel tone blue! It just means it's going to be longer than I thought before I can get to my next spinning project! Take care!

    Hi,
Your productivity is making me feel lazy! Great going.
Is your chain-ply what we call Navaho plying? I have to get the hang of that.

I'm starting to ply the ocean colors I got from Material Whirled, love it. Will post on Ravelry asap.
