Friday Freebie!! Poncho
I blinked and the week went by! My apologies! I also bought a new digital camera and it is taking a little time for us to become good friends - sigh! However, today's great find (for those who love ponchos as much as I do) is this Lacy Waves Poncho from the Creative Knitting e-newsletter. Every once in a while they have a real jewel!
Another not-my-shade-of-pink picture BUT I have some to-die-for Alpaca/Silk from Wild Geese that has been in need of a perfect pattern! I've always loved Old Shale/Feathers and Fan, I've just been too lazy to sort out how to use it - this is much easier! LOL! Now I just have to finish the work socks for DS#2 (2 pair down, 3 to go - sigh!), my hat (if it ever stops snowing and turns into summer - YES it's snowing today! waaah!), and my luxury yarn cabled sweater - OR - I could just cast it on in a moment of weakness and add to the UFOs!
Another project for your consideration is the Botanica Medallion Cardigan from Vogue Knitting. I don't actually have the pattern - it's in the Spring/Summer 2009 issue which I am seriously considering buying!
I am so totally in love with this design! Elegant and textured it's almost a work of art... except I would use a different color... LOL!! Here is a link to the online Tutorial which details the construction. Enjoy!

I love the poncho and the medallion pattern. I sure am not ready to tackle anything this challenging though. I love to do dishcloths/washcloths and have knitted many shawls and scarves.
