We Interrupt Your Regularly Scheduled Knitting For...

I have been happily knitting away on my Luxury Yarn sweater (well into my 3rd skein) and I'm working on a lace border for my Lace Doily Beret (which won't be a beret, but more on that in another post!). Feeling rather contented, in fact down right self-indulgent, since both these projects are for me, I was looking forward to finishing the hat in a couple of days and the sweater, well, almost ready to start the sleeves. Then something started to happen... something I had sort of tried to not notice... DS#2 started dropping hints, things like, how nice the weather was becoming some days and how he was even able to work without his parka... and how nice it would be to have some non-40-below socks to wear to work! Sigh! In spite of myself, of course I put aside everything else and started knitting socks.... again!

Plain vanilla, triple strand super wash Emu wool with linen-reinforced heels work socks. Sigh! Not very glamorous knitting, to be sure, nothing to impress or 'wow' the readers, but very much appreciated and needed. (and I'm SO close to finishing that hat!) Never mind! It will give me some incentive to get them finished! After all, it's only 5 pair. How long can that take? About 2 weeks or so? (I hope!) So I guess I'll have to find some creative ways to entertain you in the mean time..... anybody like to watch juggling? Ha! Ha!
