Spindlicity & Entertainment

For those of you who aren't subscribed, the latest issue of Spindlicity is out! It is far and away the best online spinning information source I've seen in a looong time! They've started using video tutorials too and I can't recommend it enough! If you've never seen it before give it a peek! It won't disappoint!
This issue also features a humorous article by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee. I'm going to do a real spoiler and share one of the paragraphs from it - but only because it describes my spinning to a "Tee"! LOL!

"Handspinning is, by nature, a little bit inconsistent, and if we all wanted perfectly perfect yarn we would buy commercial for our projects and be done with it.  No system is ever going to totally eliminate inconsistency in handspun.  All we can do to make the most of that variation  is work with an acknowledgement that it exists. (Trust me on this one.  Ignoring it is the way you get the fates to give you one lighter skein that ends up knit right over your arse, highlighting it as surely as if you’d strung Christmas lights fore to aft.)   Do everything you can to break up that natural order of prep, spin, ply and knit.  Mix old with new, first with last, for me, it really works.
There’s one other thing that’s really, really helped me on my gansey journey,  (although this is probably a bit much to ask for)  I think it has really helped  me that I apparently experience little or no personal growth as a spinner. "

If you loved it and want more, be sure to browse their back issues, all available online too! SO convenient! And while you're at it, consider a donation of a dollar or two (yes, it would be welcome!) as they are a FREE online magazine and the odd donation will help keep it that way!

Completely off-topic, if you're bored and looking for a little silly fun my DS sent me this link to some off-the-wall quizzes. Don't take them too seriously but they'll help to ease the pain of trying to survive the February blahs!
