Superb Saffron Skein

Next off the bobbins is that large batch of Saffron superwash.... a HUGE skein over 18 ounces! (ie; MORE than a pound!) No - I didn't count the yards. I figure there's 700 or more. It's a Worsted/DK weight, 2-ply,  pretty much like the saffron I spun last February. It's strange - I never expected I would like any color as much as I like this one. Blues & greens were always my passion - and still are! - but there's just something about this color and this yarn that really attracts me. I think I'll save it for the January/February Blahs to start a project.....

Yes, that's a 1 foot ruler - and the skein is about 10" thick! Good thing I have a jumbo ball winder!! Now there's just one more set of bobbins to ply and I'm off to the fiber stash to let my imagination run wild again!! LOL!!

That's a huge skein! It looks lovely. I think it's a good idea to keep it for long grey and cold winter days. :o)
