Aran Lace Poncho Finished!!

I thought it would never be done - but now it is!! Hooray! I finished knitting the edging only to find I didn't even use one whole ball! LOL! So much for not having enough! I wanted to use up all the white/olive - plus - I didn't think the edging I had knit was lacey enough soooo I approached my local proficient crocheter ha ha ha ha!

She did several rounds of basic double crochet, maintaining the v-shape edging - in fact she made it all the way around three times before running out! Then it was off to wash & block!

Finally I convinced my talented local crocheter to model the finished project for me! The horseshoe lace actually does go across the front. Not sure why that wrinkle in the front makes it look like it doesn't. I'm SO pleased I finished it before summer was over! Now I have at least 2 months to wear it! Then I'll be wanting to wear my Finn  Sheep wool sweater - so I guess I'd better get cracking on it, eh?
