2 Awesome Scarf Patterns

What a hairy week! My apologies that I've been here so little - I have LOTS to post - so hang in there! I made time for just a quickie post this morning! I've been looking for a while for just the perfect stitch pattern to make myself a Moebius with some of my multi-colored handspun and also with the awesome Soay-Alpaca yarn I got from Wild Geese Fibres. I think I've found just the ones!

This one is called Pretty Posies - perfect for multi-colored yarn! This one is Creamed Spinach - because of the color, I suspect  but it's still a goofy name for something so nice.
Posies shows off the various colors without the purl-bump thing I don't like. Creamed Spinach has just enough lace to look feminine but lots of more solid areas so it will actually give some warmth. The Soay-Alpaca is pretty fine so I'm trying to decide if I should make it really wide (which means a lot of stitches) or simply double strand it (which really appeals to the Lazy Knitter in me!) Anyways, i just wanted to share them with you because you can't have too many free patterns or great scarves......

I am knitting a scarf myself in the Soay blend with one strand on 4.5 mm needles (a simple faggot st. with patterning every row). Because of the alpaca, it looks very nice, not sloppy at all. And even with holes from lace, its toasty warm. Maybe give it a try?

I've seen the "My so called scarf" many times, and each and every one looked fantastic. I's just the right pattern for multicolored yarn. I've seen the "Creamed Spinach" several times in different colorways, and they too looked all great. I think you have to winners here! Have fun knitting them! :o)

Yes, I am actually going to make them BOTH! The Lacey spinach one with the Soay-Alpaca and the Posies with some of my handspun - I just haven't picked out (or spun) the yarn yet!
