End of One Year Beginning of The Next

The first 2 bags, blue & purple multis are Amerah 100% silk. The brown multi, pink multi and purple solids are South West Trading Company 100% bamboo.
New Year's Resolutions? To use this stuff up!! LOL!! And all the other glorious residents of my overflowing stash cupboard!! Just another Knit and Spin From Your Stash year for me - that's it! Will I do it? Well, I'm gonna try! LOL!!
In spite of the Blogiversary I was having a real bum day on Wednesday so I played hookey from work in the morning and dove into the odds and ends bin and made a bunch of stretch cord bracelets. (I justified it by saying they are product samples!) Yup! Totally fiber-unrelated, totally self-indulgent! Voila:

Maybe it's short-days-in-midwinter blues but I'm wearing all the ones with pink and blue all at once like a gypsy because they're so bright and twinkly and give me a boost. What's your mid-winter pick-me-up?

Love the little bracelets! I love sparkly things to make me feel better as well, a nice bracelet that catches my eye or a shirt I love to wear makes me feel better. I just got some Angelina fiber to sparkle up my spinning too !!!

My mid-winter pick-me-up is a nice glass of port.
And a light cotton spring sweater on needles.

The colors of the wool you bought are so pretty and will be lovely to work with i'm sure. I can't wait to see what you end up knitting with it as the colors are so yummy.

I hardly get the blues during winter, I love it. I was playing outside in the snow, with wonderful sunshine today, even with these cold temperatures. The first time in the morning lasted only 5 minutes, too cold, but later we stayed out for 30 minutes at a time, that was so much fun.

I love the bracelets! especially the blue cats eye. my pickup would be going for a brisk walk, getting out of the house, then coming in for hot cocoa. I've been wanting to try bamboo yarn, is it easy to work with?

My pick-me-up is usually exercise - outdoors if it's warm enough. If not I'll stay inside and dance.

I love your blog. Never commented before. Couldn't resist a chance of free yarn, not that I need any! This displaced stubble jumper is guessing 394. BTW it's d*** cold in Alberta, too.

I LOVE the picture of your new yarns! They just look so yummy I want to roll around in them. Kinda like scoops of ice cream ready to be eaten! Although, I dont think I will thank you for giving me a new place online for yarn...
