Twizzle Tops for Fun!

I guess I have quick-knit-itis! No sooner did I finish the Mar La sweater than I cast on a cute little Twizzle Top hat! I got the pattern from Annie's Attic a while back. There was some Cottonella yarn left from  my DD#1's last project in some cool primary colors ... and away I went! It only took 2 afternoons. The beginning 1/3 of the pattern was not too much fun though ... the hat starts at the top with a bit of i-cord (ugh!) and continues with increases on 4 DPNs. If I had some 5" DPNs in the right size it might not have been too bad. Unfortunately all I had were 7"ers and it was a very clunky, ungainly operation until most of the crown was done!

Shown here on a ceramic cabbage candy pot! Shown here on one of my other favorite cabbages! LOL!!
Will I be in a hurry to make another one? Probably not ... although my 2 youngest vied with each other all day to wear it! I really need to get busy swatching for my sweater ... I keep procrastinating because the rest of the roving for it is still in transit and I'm reluctant to start until it's all spun .... sigh! I guess I'll just have to finish off a couple pairs of socks I still have on the needles!! LOL!!!
