"Coriolis" Sock & 4" DPNs!

It didn't take as long as I thought to finish the first sock of this pair. The mock cable knits up fast! I didn't make a very long cuff, but then these are thinner summer socks. I'm still not overjoyed with the way this colorway knit up. It just looks muddy to me - maybe that's why it was on sale!! LOL!! The texture is pleasant, however so it made it easier to get the second sock going. I'm almost to the heel already! Can't say I'll be sorry when this pair is done!! The best part obout doing this pair is that I used them to try out my 4" DPNs by Addi. These are usually listed as 'Glove' needles but boy are they a slick change from theose clumsy 6"ers I started out with! My only complaint with the Addi Turbos is that the tips are not very pointy. With splitty yarn like this it just made it a bit harder to pick up the stitches. One of the gals on Socknitters Yahoo Group suggested HiyaHiya stainless steel 4" needles. At only $5.00 a set it didn't take me long to get over to the Knitting Zone and buy some! Better yet, they also  come in increments of .25 mm and Addi's only come in .5mm increments! I'll let you know how I like them - as usual, there's some more yarn in my stash I'd like to get on the needles!
