Jacob Shawl Progress

No new projects cast on this week, just steady work on what's already in progress! The Jacob Shawl is knitting up just as I'd hoped. It has a rustic homespun look and the texture is splendid. It looks like it should be rough as old barn boards but the Jacob Sheep yarn is supple and fine, NO scratchiness at all! It's such an easy knit too! I sit and knit away on it first thing in the morning while my 2 youngest are having toast and videos. The house is quiet at 5:30 a.m. when those 2 rocket out of bed, as the older family members are still sleeping. My basket is tucked in a corner of the playroom waiting for me so we sit around in our PJs and socialize. It's such a pleasant way to start the day.
Once it's finished and blocked I am determined to get a better picture of it. So far I just haven't been able to capture the textures or the lacey pattern very well. Anyways, here's a shot to give you an idea....
