Mermaid Sock Heel & Markers
I finally got around to scanning a heel in full progress so you can see all the stitch markers for the turned stitches. I really love the 12mm split rings. They slide easily and never snag the yarn. This is a good thing as the Regia is really splitty. I also find it rather stiff but I suspect it will soften with washing. This is just a plain garter stitch heel, nothing fancy. It should be plush enough to compliment the twisted mermaid stitch. I must like knitting a turned heel - I find it goes so fast! I had to force myself to stop knitting and scan it before I started casting off the stitch markers! I am finding that there really is no rhyme or reason to the color changes in this yarn. Not really important as I think they're so loud no one will notice anyways!
What beautiful socks! I wish I had the patience to do them, but mine always end up started and never finished. Yours look so pretty!
