It never ceases to amaze me....
A good example is this last week. I finally completed the new website, uploaded and tested it. Launched it live, dealt with lots of problems, helped DS#2 study, not to mention fitted a massive amount of cooking/cleaning/family life in between and lo and behold, 2 new inches of Beaudelaire sock appeared, 12 inches of shawl plus 1 re-worked row of Baby Blanket for DD#2 and an (almost) entire frog and re-wind of DD#1's Rainbow afghan as she was decreasing 1 stitch at the end of every row and creating a wedge-shaped afghan! Groan!! Hard to tell who was more depressed - her or me! She has since re-made the afghan well past where we frogged from. DD#2 finished her gaming gloves and as I mentioned has started a baby afghan using Schachenmayer's Solero in a sweet Sunshine yellow. It has a sparkly poly thread twisted through it. It's a flat but narrow ribbon-type yarn and because it's 100% polyester it's machine washable. It's the last of the synthetic yarn from my stash. After this, all that's left is (of course) Braemar which is a blend 50/50 wool/poly.
Oh how I digress! I'm beginning to think that in spite of how exhausted I always seem to feel I have this itchy creative energy so when I'm not moving I knit - or maybe I knit when I sit because it keeps me awake! LOL!! I always thought it strange, as a child, that adults would fall asleep while sitting on a couch or arm chair. Now that I am in those 'adult' shoes, impromptu napping has a seductive appeal!! Dare I say a predictable road?? At any rate, apparently when I sit I knit; at the computer, after a meal for a few minutes, for a few more minutes after the youngest have gone to bed etc etc. What grows on my needles when I have "no time" still surprises me!
I'm refereeing an argument between the computer & the camera today. If I can get them on speaking terms today I will post pics of the latest works-in-progress!

Kool! No really, what made you decide to dye your own yarn? I like the funky colors of some yarns, but don't think I'd make wearables out of many of them. I tend to prefer the more "boring" colors as they go with the wardrobe I have and I don't really knit too much for others - I'm lazy and it's just too much work. LOL
Seriously, Monica, your post is fun and I really enjoyed reading it. It sounds like you have a fun life. Enjoy! Ellen

I've been holding off coloring (or flavoring) my uncolored stash. Hmmm, after reading this, I may wait a little longer!
I think I'll knit some socks and other things for awhile.
